Multimedia Kalisz is a series of two-month-workshops on using multimedia and modern technologies for citizen journalism.
Multimedia Kalisz is a series of two-month-workshops on using multimedia and modern technologies for citizen journalism. The participants come from the local community interested in deepening their knowledge of citizen journalism, interactive storytelling, and new media as tools for social change. The inhabitants of Kalisz, a 110-thousand population city in central Poland will work on their stories covering issues important for their community under an eye of experts.
Thanks to the use of modern tools and a new opportunity to participate in the life of the city, workshop participants will not only expand their storytelling and creative skills but also learn more about their city’s history and challenges. The project is a continuation of the successful reportage workshops “Citizens’ voice” which took place in 2015 and 2016. It is financed by the Citizen Initiative Fund (Fundusz Inicjatyw Obywatelskich – FIO) and organized in partnership with WP-A Multimedia Workshop of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland.
